Ryan Dunn died as result of trauma or fire

Ryan Dunn died as a result of either blunt force trauma or the fire that consumed his vehicle after the crash, according to the Chester County Coroner.

One day after the deaths of "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn and his friend Zachary Hartwell, the autopsy results are in.

According to the Chester County (PA) Coroner, the crash was so violent it could not be determined if the two men died from injuries sustained in the car accident, or from the fire which engulfed Dunn's 2007 Porsche.

The coroner's report also states that both Dunn, 34, and Hartwell, 30, had died before rescue officials arrived at the crash scene, just after 2:30 a.m. on Monday.

Dunn was behind the wheel of the car when it crashed through a guardrail on Route 322 and into a tree in West Goshen Township, Pa.

The vehicle was engulfed in flames when police arrived.

Dunn was so badly burned, he had to be identified by his tattoos.

Before the crash, Dunn had been drinking "a couple Coronas," Jim O'Brien, a manager at Barnaby's of America bar, told the Daily News. But, he added, "I wouldn't call it partying. We would have stopped him if he had too many drinks."

Toxicology results ? including both victim?s blood-alcohol-content -- will be released in four to six weeks.
