?Terminator? star Arnold Schwarzenegger shocked the world when he split with his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, last month.� But things became even more interesting after the media discovered the reason for the split.� An Arnie ?lovechild?!
But now Mildred is speaking out in her OK! interview, stating that Arnold didn?t know Joseph was his child because she kept it a secret.
Baena tells Britain?s Hello! magazine, ?I never told him. I never told anyone except my mother. So much has been written about how he kept this secret of betrayal from his wife all these years ? and how he kept me in the house with his family knowing Joseph was his. That is not true. Never have I told him Joseph was his son, never did he ask me, and never did we talk about it.?
Baena said she became pregnant with Joseph around the same time she was intimate with her ex-husband Rogelio, and at first thought he was the father.
Patti revealed, ?So at the time, I lived life as if Rogelio was the father and he abandoned me. That?s what I believed. It wasn?t until later as Joseph grew and I started to see the resemblance that I wondered ? but it became more apparent as time went on. I knew Arnold was the father, and maybe as Joseph got older and began to look like him, he (Arnold) wondered. But he never said anything to me.
Baena said she only admitted Schwarzenegger was the father of her child after Maria became suspicious over how much the child looked like her husband.
?Last summer, I brought Joseph over to the house ? and people in the house started whispering about how much they looked like each other?.
Baena said Maria definitely noticed the resemblance.
?Maria would ask if I needed to talk to her? I kept saying no. Finally, she asked point blank,? Baena stated.
?Maria asked me directly if Joseph was Arnold?s son, and I just broke down crying, saying that yes he was and I was so sorry,? she said.
But Patti said Maria was compassionate about the situation, saying,� ?She cried with me and told me to get off my knees.?
?Since I was retiring soon, I said I?d pack and leave right away,? Baena said, ?but she said to stay until after the holidays.?
Mildred never told Arnold it was his son but did tell her 13-year-old son, Joseph.� And his reaction? ?Cool!? he said.
Baena feels bad for Arnold and all he is going through, saying, ?He?s a good man and I know he?s suffering too. He loves Maria. I hope with time they work things out.?
