Eva Mendes thinks she would have been an interior designer if she wasn't an actress because she has such a passion for homeware.
Eva Mendes wanted to be an interior designer.
The 37-year-old beauty - who has previously released a bed linen collection - loves working on her home and the furnishings, and would rather do things herself than hire a professional.
She said: "If I wasn't an actress, I'd be an interior designer. I do it as a hobby with my houses - I redesigned two.
"From the actual architecture to designing it decoratively. It's really challenging but I love it.
I have plates, I handpaint the design. And then I have bath stuff. It's one of those things that's fun for me.

Eva - who has been in a relationship with filmmaker George Augusto for nine years - says her passion was encouraged by her mother from a young age, and she is grateful that she was allowed to explore her creative side.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I think I always had a little something, I grew up in a lower middle-class household.
"We were not poor, but we didn't have extra money for nice stuff. I would throw a scarf over a lamp, and paint the walls and my mother let me.
"When I was 13, I painted the living room green. That woman, bless her heart, lived in that room for two years. I was like, 'You are a cool mom'. She encouraged it. But it was awful."
